I've got 2 clematis that have severe yellowing of their leaves. They are still growing and the leaves aren't dropping off but I can't figure out what's wrong. I have fed them and they've gotten plenty of water - maybe too much 'cause it's been wet here this spring. Any idea what is wrong with them and what to do about it?

Re: Clematis problem
Mon, May 18, 2009 - 6:10 PMIt's possible that its an over water issue , is it possible that it got hit with frost?. Or check to see if the plant is still seated. If a mouse got hungry and chewed off the roots the new shoots you say are growing should be fine. If you recently fed them you may have burnt them if its too high N.. -

Tue, June 9, 2009 - 2:18 PMThey are still struggling-it's been pretty dry here for the last month, so I'm sure it's not a problem with how much water they're getting. They've done better since I gave them some blood meal but definately are not thriving. -

Thu, July 23, 2009 - 3:13 PMIt sounds like it might be magnesium defficiency, try giving it a feed with a good tomato feeder and see how it goes. -
